   (Other than them being apes that is). In other words, like is the new movie a continuation of the old(with the offspring), or a whole new spin on the film? I liked the original film series with 'Cornelius' and his wife 'Zira'. Seen them all. IYO...

   The new movie, "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," is a complete reboot of the series. It is not connected to the original series, and it assumes that the Mark Wahlberg movie (2001) never happened....
